U.S. Army soldiers from the 23rd Military Police Company, 716th Military Police Battalion, 16th Military Police Brigade, arrive in a U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III aircraft assigned to the 62nd Air Wing as part of the Joint Task Force-North at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., on Jan. 25, 2025. U.S. Northern Command is working together with the Department of Homeland Security to augment U.S. Customs and Border Protection along the southern border with additional military forces.
