Royal Thai Armed Forces (RTArF) service members with Thailand Mine Action Center (TMAC) prepare a firing device during a demolition range at Ta Mor Roi Range, Surin Province, Kingdom of Thailand, May 13, 2024. Explosive ordnance disposal Marines with 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, and 3rd Littoral Logistics Battalion, 3rd Marine Littoral Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, the Golden West Humanitarian Foundation, and Humanitarian De-mining Research and Development, worked with TMAC, the de-mining component of the RTArF, in the research and development of new concepts to render safe and destroy explosive remnants of war utilizing 3D printed containers and binary explosives. This partnership is aligned with the U.S. Department of Defense’s Humanitarian Mine Action Program, which assists partnered nations affected by landmines, explosive remnants of war, and the hazardous effects of unexploded ordnance.
