CAMP CARROLL, South Korea – A combined force of U.S. and South Korean Soldiers and civilian firefighters responded to a simulated explosion in a building on USAG Daegu’s Camp Carroll, during the Freedom Shield 25 exercise, March 18, 2025. While the Military Police and ROK Army secured the scene, garrison firefighters entered to rescue personnel role playing as victims and put out the fire. Freedom Shield 2025 is a multi-domain military training program that integrates ground, air, naval, space and cyberspace elements, enhancing readiness through realistic combat situations.
