U.S. Marines with 3d Reconnaissance Battalion, 3d Marine Division, release combat rubber raiding crafts out of a KC-130J Hercules attached to the Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron (VMGR) 153, Marine Aircraft Group 24, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, for low-level static line parachute jumps on Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Sept. 20, 2023. The purpose of this training is for 3d Reconnaissance Marines to be able to support 3d Marine Littoral Regiment by inserting into key maritime terrain at a moment’s notice.
