Kalāheo High School Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) Color Guard presents the colors at the USS Oklahoma (BB 37) memorial ceremony on Ford Island, Dec. 7, 2025. Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility Commander Capt. Ryan McCrillis spoke at the ceremony, recounting how Pearl Harbor Navy Yard workers helped save 32 sailors and Marines from Oklahoma on the day of the attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941. PHNSY & IMF’s mission is to keep the Navy’s fleet “Fit to Fight” by repairing, maintaining, and modernizing the Navy’s fast-attack submarines and surface ships. Strategically located in the heart of the Pacific, it is the most comprehensive fleet repair and maintenance facility between the U.S. West Coast and the Far East. (U.S. Navy photo by Mike Wilson)
