11th Annual 'Phoenix Tools 4 School' Returns to Travis L. Williams Post 65
HeroZona Foundation, APS, Arizona Diamondbacks, Crescent Crown, and More to Host Backpack and Supplies Giveaway
PHOENIX, July 25, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Arizona’s largest backpack and school supply giveaway event, Phoenix Tools 4 School, is returning to the Travis L. Williams American Legion Post 65 (1624 E. Broadway Rd.) on Saturday, July 29 from 7 to 9 a.m. for a drive-thru experience.
The event, celebrating its 11th year, is an effort between the HeroZona Foundation, APS, Crescent Crown and more community partners to support local families with the costs associated with returning to school, by providing free school supplies and a backpack to all students in grades kindergarten through eighth grade.
“Rising inflation continues to strain families across the Valley and we are proud to once again provide much-needed school supplies to our local students,” said Alan “AP” Powell, Chairman of AP & Associates – Strategic Alliances, U.S. Army Desert-Storm Veteran, and founder of HeroZona. “These events wouldn’t be possible without the ongoing support of our community partners, and we look forward to seeing our young future leaders thrive in another successful school year.”
The event is open to the public and expected to draw thousands of families. Tools 4 School is open to all students ages kindergarten through 8th grade. Supplies are limited, and backpacks will be distributed on a first come first serve basis while supplies last. Attendees are encouraged to show up early and students must be present to receive their backpacks and supplies. For more information, please visit HeroZona.org.
